Community
Chaska Community
Chaska boasts 29 parks, 3 golf courses, an extensive trail system, and a long list of programs held at, or sponsored by the award-winning Chaska Community Center. With a discount to residents, the Chaska Community Center provides activities for preschoolers to seniors that range from instructional safety classes in CPR, to health and wellness, to athletic programs and community theater.
Beyond the Community Center, Chaka has several theaters, art studios, and a shopping center, all while being less than 30 miles from the Twin Cities. The city is also home to Hazeltine National Golf Club, the site of several major golf tournaments, including the U.S. Men's Open in 2001 as well as the 2002 PGA Championship.
Togetherness
Bringing the community together is always something that the city of Chaska succeeds at, mostly by promoting events such as ice cream socials and band concerts held in City Square Park, as well as hosting an annual fair and parades.
Despite the town's recent growth, it its mission is an effort at maintaining that “small town feel” by promoting community togetherness as well as cherishing its rich history. Truly deserving the title of the “Best Small Town in Minnesota”.
