Rather than just showing real estate and homes for sale in Chaska Minnesota, we thought it would be helpful to provide a Chaska area events guide available to both current and prospective residents to the area.

This guide for March 2010 covers events both in and around Chaska, MN. 

City Events

Recycle Your Cell Phone
When:
March 26th - ?
Where:
City Hall, CCC, or Municipal Services Building

Staring on the 26th, residents can leave their old cell phones at either Chaska City Hall, the CCC, or at the Municipal Services Building in specially marked boxes for redistribution to seniors and abuse victims.


Christmas in May Application Cutoff
When:
March 31st

This is the last day applications will be accepted for Chaska's Christmas in May program that helps residents in need with exterior house work such as painting, yard cleanup, or accessibility repairs.  The program is extended to Chaska residents who are either elderly, disabled, or living with a modest income.

Weekend Family Fun:
Maple Syrup Madness

When:
March 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th | 12pm to 4pm
Where:
U of M Arboretum

An informal educational class on syrup and syruping at the Chaska Arboretum, free with admission.


Sugarbush Pancake Brunch
When: 
March 20th, 21st, 27th, and 28th | 9am to 1pm
Where: U of M Arboretum

An all you can eat pancake brunch offered at the U of M Arboretum using syrup and other accompaniments from the Arboretum itself.  Reduced ticket prices for members.


The Spring Trunk Show II: Art of Tree Transformations
When:
March 19th – April 2nd
Where:
U of M Arboretum

The show features crafted tree art wood turnings by Virgil Leih.  The exhibit is free with admission and will be available during building hours at the U of M Arboretum.

Shade Tree Program
When:
March 19th – April 9th
Where:
Chaska City Hall

A chance for Chaska residents to purchase shade trees at discounted prices to help replace lost trees and encourage new tree growth. There are varying ranges of prices from $75 to $160 and come between 1.75” and 2.5” in diameter. Orders can be placed at City Hall or by calling 952-448-2851. 

 


SouthWest Metro Expo
When:
March 27th | 10am to 6pm
Where:
Chanhassen Rec Center

The SouthWest Metro Expo features products and services to real estate and homeowners for bettering their lives as well as their homes. The event features several free seminars.
